I am a dedicated film and television Graduate, who has just completed my BA in Film and Television at the University of Bristol. With hands-on experience in various production roles, including event filming, costume department work, and non-scripted programmes, I bring a well-rounded skill set to each project. I have worked on placements at Drummer Television and Beeston Media Video Production, where I handled tasks such as photography, capturing b-roll footage, boom operation, and social media management. I am proficient in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and the Sony FX6 Camera, and I have experience using Silvermouse. I also have a strong background in pre-production, conducting research and background checks, and post-production, including marketing through social media. My practical experience, combined with excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, developed through university projects and industry roles, makes me a reliable and proactive member of any crew.
I have a deep passion for storytelling, which fuels my desire to pursue screenwriting and post-production editing in film and television. Crafting narratives that captivate audiences has always been a core focus of my work. I enjoy developing scripts that reflect complex characters and innovative plots, I have honed my writing skills through both my academic work and personal creative projects. My dissertation on the changing representation of female characters in contemporary slasher films reflects this interest in character development and genre storytelling. In addition to screenwriting, post-production editing is another area where I thrive. The process of bringing a film to life in the edit room, refining the narrative, and shaping the final product through pacing, cuts, and visual effects excites me. I am proficient in industry-standard software like Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, which has allowed me to develop a strong technical foundation. I find satisfaction in the precision and creativity required for editing, where every decision impacts the flow and emotional resonance of a project. While screenwriting and post-production are my current primary areas of interest, I am very open-minded and eager to explore other aspects of production. My experiences working across different departments - from costume to event filming - have given me a broad perspective and a willingness to learn new skills. Whether it's working behind the camera, managing logistics, or collaborating with other creatives, I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge and contribute to different stages of the production process. Ultimately, I'm driven by a love for visual storytelling, and I am excited to be part of any project that challenges me and allows me to grow as a filmmaker.
