I have been working in Professional Theatre for 28 years. I have worked in various departments on and off stage. I trained at London Studio Centre as an Actor, Singer and Dancer and whilst training, I did various Pop Video’s, Commercials and Modelling jobs. After graduation, I worked all over the world mainly as a dancer and my last job was as a Can-can dancer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris.Due to injury, my career was over after Paris and I came back to London. At this point, I became an Assistant Stage Combat Performer and Instructor with various Equity Registered Fight Directors. I taught at Italia Conti, Guildford School of Acting, London Studio Centre, Globe Education etc. I also performed at The Frost Fair, Sam Wanamaker Day, William Shakespeare’s Birthday and the 250th birthday of Borough Market to name a few.I was the Administrator for the Association of British Theatre Technicians, Account Executive for a Cabaret show called ‘The Brit Girls’, managing performances all over London. I was General Manager for the fringe production of ‘Another Day’ for A Friend of a Friend Productions. I did an Internship at an Actors Agency called Bronia Buchanan Associates. As well as other Office/Production work for Events, Theatre and Cabaret. Please see Office CV for details.I have been a Theatre Technician and Wardrobe Dresser in London’s Westend for the last 22 years. Mainly working but not exclusively in Wardrobe, Carpentry and Lighting departments. Working as a Dresser, Stage Crew and a Followspot Operator but also includes Stage Electrics, Basic Board Operating, Laundry Calls, Maintenance and Get ins and Get outs for all departments. See Theatre Production for CV and specific departmental CV’s can be shown on request.
Going forward, I would love to work in High End TV and Film either in Camera, Lighting, Wardrobe or Chaperone Departments. For Wardrobe, I am an Ex-Actor that can dress with basic hand sewing skills, not a trained Costumer. I recently worked as a Rehearsal Chaperone and House Parent to the young Actors on Oliver! At the Gielgud Theatre in London. I adore working with and looking after young as well as adult Actors. I am open to all of these departments. When I was a Followspot Operator which is a theatre version of a Camera Operator. So, I understand framing, angles and capturing details within the beam/shot. I especially enjoyed working on brand new shows and I was allowed to collaborate with Lighting Designers and help create the followspot plots for the show from scratch. I have links to the show trailers on my TV and Film CV so you can see onscreen what skills I can bring to the table. I did a Camera and Sound Fundamentals course at AFTRS Film School in Sydney, Australia a couple of years ago to see the difference between a followspot and camera operators have with technique, storytelling, skillset etc. Apart from different equipment and buttons, not much else in techniques, skillset or capturing of storytelling on screen or through a beam. This also gave me a confidence boost as a potential department to go into.I started re-training as an Intimacy Co-ordinator about 18 months ago with IDC Professionals which was a SAG-AFTRA accredited course but due to personal circumstances changing, I was unable to finish the course. I do, however, have a huge amount of knowledge, empathy, compassion and understanding in this field which I can transfer with any department I end up going into.In the 28 years I have been working in this industry, I have done many courses, long and short as well as various workshops so I can gain more knowledge. Please look at the courses and workshops PDF for the full range and dates of completion. Certificates can be shown on request.
