Gray Hughes is a multi-award winning film director and photographer.His first TV documentary 'Big Boys Don't Cry' aired in May 2021 on Sky.He was a photojournalist for The Sunday Times Magazine, and The Times for ten years, and his work has been exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery, London. Hughes has been awarded several honourable mentions at the International Photography Awards over his career and had previously been a Finalist at the Association of Photographers Awards.Hughes films and photography were noticed at Ridley Scott Associates, which he joined in 2016. Since that time, Hughes has worked on global print campaigns for Vodafone, BP, Standard Life and Rexona and promotional films for Reebok, Google, Guinness and Standard Life and has also directed three short films.In 2020, his film You Say Nothing won Best Short Film at three festivals worldwide and was nominated for another ten.As a photojournalist I witnessed the consequences of war, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, train wrecks and economic crashes. I've seen the worst and best of man, it continually inspires me to create photography and films which are genuine and believable.
