Jack Norris is a writer-director creating tense, emotionally driven work with a sharp visual style and a determined point of view.His work has won a Royal Television Society Award, been broadcast on Sky Arts, streamed on NowTV, and screened at BAFTA- and IFTA-accredited festivals across the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada. He has also directed national campaigns for the NHS and leading charities, reaching millions of viewers.A member of BAFTA Connect and Directors UK, he has been selected for the BFI Directors Lab and the Directors UK Inspire Mentorship scheme. Jack has hands-on experience in HETV scripted production, serving as a director’s shadow on season five of Apple TV’s BAFTA- and Emmy-winning series Slow Horses where he gained experience of the production workflows that underpin large-scale drama.Rooted in his working-class background and a dual British–Irish identity, Jack creates thrilling, character-driven stories that blend lived-in realism with genre tension; exploring moral pressure, loyalty and survival under strain. He is known for a calm, precise directing style that draws out “incredible performances” from both cast and crew to create striking, accessible work.A dual British and Irish citizen, Jack works across the UK and Ireland from his base in the West Midlands. He mentors emerging regional creatives via the National Youth Theatre × Netflix Ignite initiative and is currently developing ambitious film and television projects with the support of BAFTA- and Emmy-winning industry mentors.
