I am an MA educated graduate in Directing Film & Television - as of 2022 - from Bournemouth University following my studies in Television Production the years before. Working in film and television has interested me for years due to the wide spectrum of productions that are produced year after year and how they can make advancements in both the technology used to create them and the styles of storytelling included within. The primary genre I worked on across my studies and am looking to progress further into was drama across both location and studio productions and in a variety of different roles ranging from director to lighting. Whilst these were the roles I undertook frequently, I am looking to expand my skillset further and gain a better overall understanding about how the other departments on a production work together by trying out new roles similar to my previous ones.
Whilst there are some roles I am looking to expand on from a career perspective, there are several I am looking to expand on from a personal growth perspective in an effort to potentially open up more opportunities in the future. Writing and photography are two interests of mine which fall into this category, interests which developed during my time studying film and television and areas I want to look into to see what can be created from these using skills I have gained over my studies and looking into how genre can have an impact into what can be created from these interests.
