I am at the start of a career change into media production following a very successful 20 years working various corporate Senior Manager roles for BT that covered business transformation, project management, process improvement, employee engagement and general operations. As part of that I was accountable for creating multiple internal media campaigns. I'm pleased to have an opportunity now to follow my dream, which has been in hibernation since I graduated from my Film Studies BA.I am eyes wide open that this industry is tough to break into, and is very much about who you know. However, I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and start at the bottom as a runner or PA or whatever is needed, and am confident anyone giving me a chance will soon realise the benefits a mature, experienced person like me can bring to the role to make their life easier.So if there are any possible opportunities to do anything at all to help me gain experience of this industry, at short notice or otherwise, I would be greatly indebted if you would consider me and I'll make sure it's a great decision by you!
Anything to gain experience and work out the best fit to pursue a career in.After reviewing job descriptions and multiple websites, my skillset of leadership and organisational skills (exhibited as a Project Manager in previous roles) suggests Production/AD may be the best fit, but I'm looking to learn as much as I can about all roles.
