Description
As a part-time Production Assistant for a Producer, I kept detailed records of the potential investors and crew that I sourced, documenting when I contacted them and their responses. I also researched film festivals and acting roles for clients, recorded the minutes in meetings and organised digital files. I worked dailies as a Production Assistant on ‘Legacy S2’, where I used Scenechronize, put sides together, updated the crew on the mailing lists, completed forms such as vehicle appendices and petty cash forms, and compiled crew unit lists. I also researched director’s chairs for purchase, performed stock checks, restocked the kitchen, ran items to set, ordered lunch and made drinks. As a PA on the short film On Hold, I sourced crew, researched and booked accommodation for non-local crew, managed petty cash, and assisted the crew on set. When I was a Covid PA on Bad Sisters, a Merman production, I used RFIDentikit and Google Sheets to accurately report and keep track of the crew’s covid tests. I also created a stock spreadsheet, performed stock checks and kept the team’s workspace organised.
I have strong organisational skills, and I can work flexibly and adapt to any situation. I developed these skills working on various important projects simultaneously, under time pressures whilst keeping my work to a high quality both at university and in the workplace. I have excellent attention to detail, which I applied when doing research for projects and reviewing my own and others’ work. Whilst studying Television Production at Bournemouth University, I applied good diary management skills to create accurate and up-to-date schedules, ensuring my group was organised and on track to meet deadlines. I love working collaboratively and have been able to build good working relationships, this has made me an effective communicator who can ask questions and offer solutions.
