Hi Ive recently returned back into film and Im looking for creative output .Ive been working on live performance broadcast and big structural set lighting design.
Ive got a great background in film and tv and have rigged operated and relit many iconic shows in the past, at BBC, ITV, ginger productions for Chanel four,Chanel 5 and bits& bobs around other studios too,Ive also been a full time studio LD.
I started my career in the west end theatres and as such learnt my craft from the best of the great Lds, this is where my passion for lighting originated, the rest came from working with some fairly notable photographers and notable videographers.
Ive lit numerous dramas and plays in the past and would consider myself very attuned the genre well as live broadcast, magazine shows and light entertainment work.
Im well known in the live event world for my award winning lighting design and creative work as well as my live broadcast work, you'll find a link to my event company site bellow and my Flikrr too, this should give you an idea of the level of both production and creativity I am capable of.
My lighting design has always been very much focused on creating visual delights and because of many years in theatre I am capable of very dramatic work, Im driven to create big beautiful work .
Youll see CV tends towards consultancy as that where life is leading me, its worth a look, lot of it is to do with film and recoded visual media, but at a consultancy level.
Im currently in the process of steering things back in the direction of film,video and tv as I really cant see events recovering swiftly, as such Im in the process of restocking in Led fixtures, and film specific fixtures, Im also in the process of building a new gaffer truck.
I currently have a stock of over 500 fixtures. In addition I have the resource of a fully blown production Company at my disposal thats dormant due to covid closing all our live shows. I cant really see them back in force for at least another year.
We also have a decent stock of consoles, truss, staging, sound systems etc that I can bolt on to any service I provide- Ive previously supplied and fit up all manner of custom rigging and staging for shoots both in the studio and on location through this company.
Due to the current situation with covid cancelling a significant amount of my live work Im looking for new clients, preferably with interesting creative and challenging projects.
I need to do something creative after being dormant for a year.
Since my redirection back into the industry Ive been surprised at the the interest and already have a number of bookings in HETV, commercials and promo videos. I guess Ive matured some both creatively and professionally, however I would like to expand my client base and would be specifically interested in projects that require creative input. Im used to, and proficient at working closely with cameras to achieve this.
Im confident I would be a asset to any production in a number of roles.

I am familiar with driving a diverse selection of vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
I have a full clean licence all categories up to 7.5 tonnes.
I carry my own PLI insurance.
I have access to all my former crew should any production require additional help.
I can work as a freelance or through my limited company
