Description about myselfI am a very energetic experienced lady, with a wealth of experience of working not only within Film and media, but also working with young vulnerable children and adults for the past 15 years who have been in care and leaving care. I have always loved working with children from when I left college in 1980 having completed my first degree in Costume Design.I went on to become self-employed for 25 years, working in many areas of the media; doing costume design workshops in schools and colleges; having a licence to Child Chaperone working with many production companies and agencies; as a freelance costume designer working on films, and community projects with the ethnic minority. I was also a community news reporter for the Bath Chronicle covering events in the South West and then went on to becoming the volunteer Press Officer for Corsham Rugby Club for many years where my son was a keen member, later to play for England U16s. I have bough up 3 children on my own until recently marrying a Greek man; I respect and love other cultures and as a costume designer was inspired by Costumes from around the world when wholesaling my hand made clothes and designs to 7 shops.I have more recently worked within housing and homelessness when I divorced, and having decided I wanted to help young people improve their life chances and support their needs; I took a 2nd degree in Housing and for the past 15 years I have undergone a huge amount of training in safeguarding young children and vulnerable adults; and have lived the experience of having to deal with situations of child abuse and having to take the appropriate action to protect the child while working with the LA. I am skilled and trained in the protection of children with their wellbeing and needs being paramount. I love working with children and have a huge empathy and rapport with them.
