I’m Amy, a scenic artist, maker and painter based in London and Hertfordshire. I am a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) with a BA in Design for Performance (First class). Whilst at RWCMD I enjoyed working on numerous large and small scale productions as a scenic artist and scenic communicator to fabricate sets and props for theatrical performances. I am experienced in texturing, painting, making, designing, and working in busy environments with plenty of cast and crew. I am good at meeting deadlines, keeping things organised, communicating with other departments and making appropriate modifications and adjustments to set pieces when needed. I am looking for opportunities in the Film and TV industry. Since graduating I have worked on Netflix's Heartstopper (Season 2) and a mixture of other creative projects, having been commissioned for a range of painted backdrops.I am positive, hardworking, and keen to learn new skills.
My aspiration is to work in Children’s TV and Film / Theatre. Alongside my freelance projects, I work with preschool children in an innovative, ‘outstanding’ (Ofsted) forest school. The setting encourages creative outdoor play in nature, enabling children (aged 2-5) to explore, discover, learn, and grow in confidence. As I am very practical and hands-on, I enjoy creating a playful, fun, and educational atmosphere in the natural outdoor environment. I have organised and led different art and craft activities for the children, responding to a different learning theme each week.I have an enhanced DBS and have completed core safeguarding training.
