• Specific problem-solving skills related to technical materials-based solutions.• Transferable skills from art painting practice and art/heritage materials preservation including;- Providing technical services, including object handling, mounting and display.- Advise on conservation, preservation and technical tasks including sourcing materials and equipment, small budget management.- Experience with imaging software Adobe Photoshop, and GIMP.- Training in stores management work such as loan agreements, facility reports, data entry, environmental requirements, preventative care, documentation risk management and housekeeping.- I have knowledge of traditional sculpting techniques, and experience and knowledge of using and maintaining typical construction and joinery equipment.
Following foundational experiences involved with archiving and maintaining institutional art and design heritage collections I’m now seeking out new challenges in practical settings that can draw from my expertise with art materials, and technique in artistic practice to learn and develop more insight in specific techniques towards specialising in Art Department settings.
