I’m a Highley experienced 1st assistant director with many years working on high end dramas, corporate and music videos. I’m well versed in scheduling, breaking down of scripts the use of movie magic and utilising other scheduling techniques plus budgeting of shoots especially under tight constraints, locations and actors’ availability. I also have a vast knowledge of health and safety protocols (First option health and safety certification) and producing of risk assessments. I hold a current DBS, first aid at work and fire certificates also screen skills tackling harassment and bullying at work and safe guarding for all certificate, disability access and inclusion certificate, screen skills training passport and screen skills mentoring passport.I work well as part the production team, working closely with the director and producers and line producers as well as a managing of the shoot and crew and personal on a day-to-day basis. I always take full responsibility for the completion of the shooting schedule, whilst making sure it is done safely and to the guidelines agreed with the production company. It is imperative that all cast and crew etc are treated with respect and given any help or assistant that maybe required.I have worked in single camera dramas, multi camera dramas, multi camera music shows and concerts, many different chroma key studios plus various camera rigs from drones, arial mounted cameras, cranes, underwater cameras, Steadicam etc. This includes working with large amount crews to small PSC units. I run a disciplined set but believe that a crew that is happy will work faster and better in the long run, rather than one that is shouted at and bullied day after day, so I like to keep things good humoured on set and encourage input from all. I think it’s important to train junior crew members and like to involve them, so they understand why things are done a certain way on set and help them to achieve their goals within the industry.
I'm intrested in high end drama, soaps, commercials, corprate, music videos and documentries . I would also like to move up to a producer role so also looking for a junior producers role or similar postion. I'm also intrested in the education of junior crew with regards to the workings of production both prep and on the floor including set etiqute, health and saftey, team building and also how to deal with bullying and harrasment in the work place.
