I am a new entrant searching for my first professional credits in the Art Department.I have recently completed my first Set Dec Trainee role on The Magic Faraway Tree. I really enjoyed the work involved in the set dec department and would like to find further work in it. I am taking part in Talking Points Petty Cash Buying course at Classic Prop Hire in October so I can learn more about the role and improve the skills which I learned in my most recent job. I have been accepted on to ScreenSkills Film Trainee Finder for 2024-25 and have taken the All Spring Media Art Department & Props Assistant bootcamp with the Art Department and provided by Sky Studios Elstree. Through the course I have developed my knowledge of petty cash buying, prop checking, aging props, standby props and how to be a valuable assistant. With the help of ScreenSkills I have learned the basics Rhino from Art Director Shan Stride, and SketchUp from Luke Whitelocks online course, so I can be of more help to those in the Art Department.I have voluntary experience in short films through Cinemagic, a film charity for young people, as an Art Department trainee and took on all Art roles in my university projects. I have a first class degree in Ba(Hons) Film & Tv Production from the University of Hertfordshire from which I graduated in June 2023. I also have completed the course “Getting Started in the Art Department for HETV” provided by ScreenSkills and Talking Point.
