Despite recently graduating from the University of Manchester with a First Class degree in Film Studies and History, over the last three years, I have worked as a Production Assistant on feature films, short films, and adverts as well as Script Supervising for a short film and a feature. Most recently, I worked as a key Production Assistant on the featurette Glasshouses which was produced by Richard Whelan and Callum McDougall and is being submitted to Cannes this year. I am very used to being on set, understand set etiquette, and enjoy helping out in any capacity I am needed.I have just completed the All Spring Media Production Assistant course which covered a wide scope of knowledge from budgeting and scheduling to copyright law, health and safety and risk assessments, and developing/pitching projects. I also was trained in all MS programs and provided with vital information that will benefit any production. I have also completed numerous Screen Skills modules such as set etiquette, work well, and the coronavirus basic awareness course.Additionally, I spent a year as President of the Filmmaking Society at the University of Manchester, in which I have overseen the production of thirteen short films, organised and managed over a hundred people across different crews, and organised a two-day film festival and awards ceremony accommodating two hundred guests. This required organisation, dedication, and proficiency in both Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. I was also awarded the Highly Commended Leader of the Year award by the Student Union. I have a lot of experience working in a team and understand the logistics of what production entails. I love being on set and feel that I am good at anticipating needs, being proactive, and jumping at any opportunity to be of assistance. I am more than willing to travel, have a full UK driver’s license, and love film production more than I can possibly express.
