I graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Costume July 2023. At RADA I specialised on costume making and costume supervision for theatre. I have gained vast knowledge in various techniques of costume making including pattern cutting, breaking down, hand sewing, costume restoration, toile making, corsetry, costume history as well as working with different fabrics, for example leather, velvet and satin.
Since graduating, I have worked in theatre as a dresser ( helping actors with costume changes, costume maintenance, etc), costume supervisor ( sourcing costume, research and working closely with the designer, actors and other departments, etc) and wardrobe assistant ( costume maintenance, alterations, costume fittings, costume making, etc.).
Currently, I am a costume trainee for Brian & Margaret ( Channel 4). As trainee I have sourced costume, helped with SA fittings, completed alterations, crowd standby on set, costume maintenance and completed other miscellaneous tasks around the department.
I am looking to gain more experience working in costume in the screen industries. I am confident that I can provide excellent support to the costume team. I am excited to bring my work ethic, enthusiasm, skills and can-do attitude to the table and contribute to telling innovative stories through costume.
