I am a young, enthusiastic filmmaker hoping to gain more experience working on sets, I love the media industry and hoping to break into it I can think of no better way than to be on sets learning and helping talented individuals in a range of professions. Despite my limited experience I believe I can bring dedication and adaptability to any role, being so early on in my career I have a lot to learn, that can feel daunting but for me I find that exciting, I can't wait to interact with people in the industry and hopefully that will radiate from the effort I will put in to the work. As well as working on a feature film, I have had numerous other jobs/roles which I feel can massively contribute to working on a set. For example I worked for a Traffic Event Specialist called SEP, where we would organise the traffic and parking at large events such as football games. It was vital to be good at communication which is applicable to being a production assistant on a set, we would be working in teams where we would have to communicate with each other so that every visitor knew where they were going, where to park and then their way to the event. It was important because the constant flow of visitors meant we had to be constantly communicating so that everything didn't get backed up, any fail in communication would mean a rather chaotic operation. Also used in this job was my initiative, at times when asked or faced with something that I wasnt sure on I had to be resourceful to solve the problem, for example a visitor not following the rules that we had in place, to which I had to take some responsibility and explain to him the rules everyone must follow and asked him politely to co-operate to which he did. Although I am only 20 and have little experience, I have such passion for the media business and am keen to learn on amazing sets filled with amazing individuals. I feel if given the opportunity I can thrive in it and help out on set as much as possible.
