Equally skilled in hand and machine sewing as well as design and conception, I have been honing my craft for over 4 years. I have experience as a department head through a variety of short films and have proved myself to be a very confident and clear communicator. Through my Costume for Performance BA course at UAL, I have developed a strong sense of historical and practical knowledge. For example, creating historically accurate garments as well as learning coding for wearable technology, millinery and stretchwear. I have a love for construction, alteration and upcycling - my interest in sustainability is what fuels many of my projects. I am passionate about period wear and find the history of costume a very interesting facet of the role. My favourite genres in film are horrors and thrillers and I always pay close attention to the costuming with whatever I'm watching!
