Hello I mainly work as a self shooting one person unit, or with a small team (gaffer and sound) on productions mainly centred in the commercial area. That being said, I have shot short films, worked on TV productions, and worked under more experienced DP's and Gaffers on higher budget productions. My passion really lies in Cinematography, I have just invested in an anamorphic lens setup - as I love cinema Creating beautiful images is my main inspiration and I am extremely driven to make steps all the time towards that, a big part of which is learning from more experienced people, on bigger sets, with bigger crews. I am confident operating cinema cameras, pulling focus, setting up lights and composing a scene, so I think working as an assistant to the DP/main camera operator would be an amazing opportunity for me, something I would really enjoy and make the most out of. I also love problem solving For example, on the final episode of series 2 - Warships Life at Sea (Channel 5) - I was the main cameraman on the dock where the reunion between the sailors and the families would take place, my job was to cover the captain embracing with his family. On the day, the main camera wasnt working and the audio gear likewise, so I used my personal backup camera which I brought just in case, and also fixed the audio gear so we had sound coverage, as well as leading the team, which I really enjoyed. I'd really love to hear about any work opportunities that are available, and please take a look at my website linked below www.jonnynoakesfilms.co.uk
