I have worked in costume for eight years, most recently as a supervisor and buyer for HETV and film productions such as The Nevers (HBO), Fisherman’s Friends: One and All (Fred Films) and Witchfinder (BBC). I also design for smaller scale projects including award-winning drama documentary Royal Autopsy (Sky) independent film Jellyfish (Nikolas Nolttum) and period short The Puppet Asylum (Sky). I have a particular passion for period costume, and a strong knowledge of costume history with a BA in History and an MA in Costume Design for Performance. I have lectured in History of Costume for Bristol Old Vic for the past three years. My particular strengths include a strong creative eye, meticulous organisation and budget management, script breakdown and continuity, knowledge of fabrics and components and great hire and buying contacts. I have been fortunate to work on varied projects during my career including live performance, recently as assistant costume supervisor at the Royal Opera House, meaning that I am highly adaptable and always ready to meet new challenges with an instinctual problem-solving approach. I really love what I do, always enjoy working within creative teams, and am quick to establish positive working relationships with the wider team, actors and SAs.I am a member of the Screenskills Job Share Programme which has funding attached to support job share opportunities.
