I work in the assistant directors department in Film and TV. I am currently looking for Floor PA or Crowd PA opportunities to develop my skills further and broaden my knowledge of the industry. I started my journey in Film and TV in unscripted TV, gaining experience on Taskmaster for Channel 4 and The Derbyshire and Yorkshire Auction House programmes for STV Studios. My transition into scripted content came when I obtained a place on the Warner Bros CrewHQ trainee programme in May 2024, being one of 20 to be selected out of over 1700 applications. Whilst on the programme, I worked across the assistant directors department and production department, communicating well with different crews, handling cast and large crowds and assisting directors and producers. I have experience across all three main areas of the assistant directors department, as a Floor PA, Crowd PA and Base PA, which has deepened my knowledge of how the department pulls together to ensure everything is on time and well prepared. I have liaised with large crews, managed hundreds of supporting artists and dealt with cast effectively. I enjoy the long days and keep morale high, finding positive solutions to problems and keeping calm under pressure. My production department experience has taught me valuable skills, making sure all different departments have what they need in good time and managing different personalities well. It has also improved my excel skills, creating numerous spreadsheets, from booking in and logging all water deliveries and returns, to organising wrap gift sizes for over 400 people. The various roles I have had has given me a great holistic understanding of how everything works in this industry, both on and off set. I would love to continue my journey in the Film and TV industry, gaining more invaluable experiences and skills and meeting inspiring, creative people that have the same drive to create impactful content that entertains audiences.
My interest in film and TV was sparked by my passion for dance and choreography. During my school years, I developed a portfolio of dance and music qualifications which allowed me to support a local dance school, choreographing dances and editing music for performance pieces. I continued my passion for dance at university, competing across the country and leading the dance society as president.
