A lifelong passion for film led me to study film and creative writing at university and now with a bachelor's degree under my belt I am in search of a role within the film industry. I understand that everyone must start somewhere so I am keen to start in any role that will aid in the production process. I am reliable, honest, and hardworking. Present me with a challenge and I will face it head on and in busy environments, I thrive. I enjoy meeting a variety of new people and find satisfaction from being part of a team.
I have always had a love for telling stories, probably originating from my early discovery of film when I sat down to watch Steven Spielberg's classic Jurassic Park at the age of 4. Well, it was safe to say that my imagination was unlocked and held no bounds. From then on my action figure narratives were complex and dialogue-heavy (most of the time involving Spider-Man confessing his love to a pretend Mary Jane whose action figure I never possessed). As I approached my teens and action figures were not cool anymore, I traded them in for a notebook and pen. I was no longer limited to the toys I owned and new worlds, characters, and stories were just the beginning. Building my craft up over the years, I attended college where I studied film and later carried on studying the subject in university alongside creative writing, learning technical aspects of the scriptwriting crafts whilst learning how film works at the same time. Education taught me that films can be so much more than the moving images most of us take at face value. We can portray themes, social commentaries, and wonderful narratives through the power of screenplays. We can create characters and discover their journey with them, write ourselves into problems and have fun getting ourselves out. Now as an adult with children of my own, I would love to pass on my stories to them through the form of films and television and hopefully they're imaginations can be unlocked through the power of storytelling just like mine was.
