I have nearly 15 years experience working in the costume department for TV and film working on contemporary and period pieces; and I've been working as assistant Costume Designer for the last 3 years on HETV shows around the UK.I'm part of the 'make a move' program with Screenskills, who contribute part of my salary as a crew member ready to step up in the industry, in my case stepping up onto a costume design position as HOD, having worked as Assistant Designer.I'm very creative, calm and approachable, I'm used to working with talent, and managing smaller and larger budgets. I have a brilliant and trusted network of costume people - makers, assistants, supervisors and suppliers, and I have good relationships with local and national costume hire places too.I love my job, and I have always loved clothes, I love the whole process starting with the script and characters, research, finding and sourcing, then the fittings where it comes together, or becomes something else - I enjoy the collaboration!
