Description

Neil Tattersall is a fight director, intimacy coordinator, and stage combat teacher with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC), and a lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire and UC Leeds, teaching primarily around Yorkshire and the North East. He gained his degree in Performance: Theatre from the University of Leeds, and a PGCE with the Open University.

Neil has taught at a variety of drama schools, universities, and theatres; Notable professional credits include the multi award-winning Gods Own Country (Dir. Francis Lee), Green Screen Productions Macbeth (Dir. Kit Monkman), After the Blue (Jermyn St. Theatre), Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (Northern Stage), and Carmen (Opera North). Neil is a visiting lecturer for University of York, York St. John, and Salford University, a visiting teacher at The Crucible, Northern Stage, and Treasurer on the BADC Committee.


Special Interests

Neil teaches a wide variety of armed and unarmed fight styles, and firearms handling, working as a fight choreographer and weapons master/armourer.
