Deborah is a co-producer and line producer working across Television Drama, Film and Documentary based in the West Midlands working globally. She has experience in domestic and international theatrically released feature films and TV Dramas of all genres that have garnered international acclaim and distribution. Selected credits include the academy award winning director Steve McQueen’s anthology films SMALL AXE directed by Oscar winning director Steve McQueen tackling racism in society and the establishment, the U-Boat thriller DAS BOOT follows on from the award winning film and extraordinary biopics including BENEDICTION about war poet Sassoon directed by Terence Davies, the harrowing life of Turner Prize shortlisted photographer Richard Billington depicted in RAY & LIZ and a biopic showing the rise of a young black skinhead in FARMING. Television work includes tense thrillers such as THE GATHERING, BOILING POINT, MALPRACTICE and DI RAY to the darkly sinister yet hilarious AM I BEING UNREASONABLE. As an independent producer Deborah is currently collaborating and developing a BFI commissioned script LITTLE ARROWS and a slate of film and television projects with EMU Films and Vicarious Productions. She is an alumni of EAVE producers programme, iFeatures and Creative England’s Creative Producer Initiative and continues to develop and collaborate on projects.
