For the past nine years, I have worked extensively across the arts sector, as a skilled practitioner in the film industry and in event coordination and delivery. My work in this field has been diverse, fulfilling a variety of roles on complex international productions, from development, through to final delivery. My portfolio covers many styles and includes award-winning features, short films and documentaries as well as large amounts of promotional, social and online content for events, publications and organisations. For the past three and a half years, I worked for Aesthetica, a prominent international arts and culture organisation. My role was was primarily focused on the planning and delivery of the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival over its past four editions. This involved the programming, scheduling and technical delivery of over 500 films across 14 genres, and over 100 live industry events with guest speakers such as Dame Judi Dench, Andrea Arnold and Maxine Peake. My technical competencies were instrumental in adapting the festival to an online event in 2020, as well as the creation of all of the companys original video content. I possess extensive knowledge and practical experience of content production, working with a variety of creative software packages for video editing, audio editing and graphic design. I am confident with digital production workflows, delivery and exhibition formats and regularly update my own practices according to the requirements of the project I am working on. I have the ability to quickly troubleshoot technical issues and address problems as they arise. In addition to my technical skills, I have the ability to think creatively and bring new ideas to briefs - a combination which makes me a skilled and adept editor.
