I am credited with the cinematography on a growing number of features, shorts, documentaries and commercials, and have worked on projects of all budgets, from zero budget, indie shorts to multi-million pound features.Some of my work has had theatrical release in cinemas and been broadcast on major streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime.I mostly shoot narrative fiction, though enjoy all forms of filmmaking. Ultimately, it’s all storytelling.
Whether for narrative fiction, documentaries or natural history, I am particularly fond of outdoor shoots for the challenges they present and the rewards they offer. I have particular experience with cold climate and geographically remote shoots.I’ve canoed the Great Glen across Scotland, trekked glacial valleys in -20ºC and wild camped for weeks tracking elusive wildlife.I have my own four-wheel drive vehicle and a valid passport. International travel is not limited to flying either; I’ve driven across continents and sailed to remote islands as part of film projects.I am also a specialist in ultra low-light, ultraviolet, infrared and thermal imaging and have my own UV, IR & thermal sensitive camera equipment.
