Charmaine is a versatile Art Department assistant with experience across Film, children's television, adverts and high-end television. She is passionate about storytelling and bringing worlds to life.She successfully completed Screen Skills Trainee Finder scheme in 2022 and now works as an Assistant on high-end TV dramas such as 'I Fought the Law' (ITV).She comes with a plethora of skills to assist with the smooth running of the art department, has her finger on the pulse for new information from production, ready to update schedules and breakdowns.She has gained plenty of experience in the office supporting all members of the department and is comfortable with drawing up recce packs, managing supplies, as well as going out to measure up locations. She is friendly and keen and will always make good contacts with suppliers and location owners.She has good drafting and 3D modelling skills in Sketchup and is currently learning Rhino. Charmaine strives to communicate clearly and efficiently an effective level of detail.She has experience of creating graphics within the Adobe CC suite and has become a bit of a 'printer whisperer' capable of using large format plotters to print on a variety of materials including newsprint. Charmaine also has very strong practical and craft skills which she gained from studying model making at City of Glasgow college. She has built everything from tiny thrones to full-scale puppet theatres, is capable with power tools and has experience of working on set as a dresser. She has worked in many different cities including Glasgow, Newcastle and London, and so she has become adept at navigating around a new city, sourcing useful suppliers and finding the most efficient routes. She has learnt to be organised, yet adaptable and will enthusiastically tackle any task that comes her way.
